Dental Assistant

Tanya joined the Almaguin Family Dental team in March 2026 and brings more than 20 years of experience as a dental assistant. Over the years, she has learned that dental assistants do much more than work chairside. They help keep the office running smoothly, anticipate what the dentist may need next, and somehow always seem to know where everything is.

As the dentist’s right-hand woman, Tanya is passionate about helping patients feel as comfortable as possible in an environment that can sometimes feel intimidating or stressful. Whether she is explaining a procedure, offering reassurance, or sharing a laugh, she believes that creating a positive experience can make a meaningful difference in a patient’s visit.

Known for her easy-going personality and sense of humour, Tanya brings both experience and warmth to the dental team. She enjoys being part of the behind-the-scenes work that helps each appointment run smoothly while making sure patients feel supported throughout their time in the office.

Outside the office, Tanya enjoys walking her two black labs, spending time with her better half, and cruising around in their 1980s Camaro with the windows down and 80s music turned up. She also enjoys exploring local microbreweries and believes life is best enjoyed with great smiles, great company, and plenty of adventures.
